Gazprom raises Sila Sibiri source fields' capacity estimate

MOSCOW, Oct 7 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has raised the estimate of capacity of the Sila Sibiri pipeline’s resource base, the company said in a prospectus for a Eurobond issue late on Tuesday.

The Kovyktinskoye field estimate grew to 27.2 billion cubic meters (bcm) from 25 bcm and of the Chayandinskoye field to 25.4 bcm from 25 bcm. The Kovyktinskoye field’s estimate can rise to 33.5 bcm by 2032, and can include 1.5 million tonnes of gas condensate.

Kovyktinskoye will be launched in 2022 and will reach target capacity in 2026. Chayandinskoye will reach  target capacity in gas in 2024 and in oil in 2022.

The company also said that it was carrying out pre-investment studies of new gas refining facilities on the Yamal Peninsula to refine additional gas from the Astrakhan group of fields.
